Since we are in the same community, I thought it would be nice if we introduced ourselfs to each other.

I will kick it off. I am Michel Eek, 39 years of age. I am living close to the coast in a small town called Schoorl together with my wife and 2 kids.

Hello, all!

I have to say -- the credentials mentioned before this post (and likely after) are quite impressive! Congratulations on all of your hard work!

To introduce myself, my name is Karen Walker. I live in Phoenix, Arizona, USA, but I am originally from Niles, Ohio, USA. I am 24 years old, and I live with my fiance and my brother.

I am fairly new to Cross Media. Before my current position as a graphic designer at Aprisa Enterprises, LLC, ( http://www.aprisaonline.com ) I was attempting to carve my way into a rather tight and stiff industry. I am also the fifth generation of my family to focus my career around printing. My passion for this industry was seeded from my father's and my grandfather's print shops at a very young age. Although I've been much better at accepting technology into my every day work flow, I still believe that printed media is one of the most important facets of our history -- if we don't preserve the printed piece, then we'll inevitably lose tough with the artistic side of ourselves.

I have two small degrees, one in graphic design, and one in multimedia technology, but neither of them seemed to prepare me for the world ahead. I'm interested in Cross Media because I believe there is a need for a more technological change in that area.

There's lots more to me, but I think I'd much rather hear what all of you have to say! :-)

Hey guys,

My name is David Leininger, 22 years old, and I am a student at Clemson University in South Carolina. I'm majoring in Graphic Communications (which is basically print management) with an emphasis in Variable Data and Cross Media Marketing. So far I've worked in the area of cross media at Quad/Graphics in their QuadDirect department, and in sales and marketing for Responsive Solutions, Inc. I will also be working at Trekk Cross Media starting this summer.

As a student I've been fortunate enough to work with many different softwares for VDP, Emails, PRULs, and other cross media applications.

I'll be graduating this coming December, and I plan to work to in the area of cross media.

Let me know if you have anything else that you would like to know.

Hi,
I am Jason Pinto, 29 years old... I'm located in Wilmington, MA, which is about 15 minutes north of Boston. I've worked at interlinkONE for almost 10 years now.

Our company has been providing a marketing software solution since 1996. The software allows people to build and measure each leg of their campaign effort... At the end of the day, my favorite parts of the software are the charts that display which medias brought in the most leads (i.e. direct mail vs. email vs. tv ad vs. banner ad), or which list brought in the most leads..(i.e. the On Demand business cards vs. the webinar attendees)

I started off here as a developer... I still do a bit of that.. Most of my time is now spent working with clients as they develop and execute cross-channel campaigns. I also work with our own marketing team, as we promote our product and services.

It's definitely an exciting time to be involved in the world of marketing... Social media is really proving to be an effective channel to reach people.. Of course, it's just one channel! But using it in conjunction with mailers & personalized URLs, emails, videos, trade shows, etc..., can really lead to effective campaigns.

If you'd like to learn anything else about me, feel free to check me out on Twitter (http://Twitter.com/JasonPinto), or at my Pinto's Beans of Marketing Wisdom blog (http://JasonPinto.WordPress.com)

Thanks,
Jason
