Cross Media Experts

CROSS MEDIA EXPERTS

Brian McFarlane

How to create a cross-media curriculum for the 21st century?

We are a college of 10,000 students located in Montreal and are looking for experts in the cross-media field to discuss real world opportunities for our potential graduates in cross-media communications and variable data printing campaigns.

We would like to create top notch curriculum and program for students to enroll in that would give them all the tools, knowledge, networks and passion for success in cross-media.

If you are willing to share your knowledge, networks and compassion for cross-media we would love to hear from you.

HI Brian , I will follow up on this with you, currently I'm getting involved with something similar as part of Creative-Capital in the UK. Please see IAB at Newport University. They are keen on media convergence technolgies and application thereof for developing learning, training and working with industry.

Hi Brian,

As Program Director of Transmedia in the MediaLab Amsterdam, an applied research established by the University and Hogeschool of Amsterdam, I am spending around 50% of my time working on just your question. I am also carrying out feasibility studies for other universities in Europe - both existing expertise, commitment and organisational culture make the required cross-faculty cooperation more or less likely and doable. Seems that each resulting program will have a specific core or area of focus. I am interested to develop an open innovation network of participating universities and colleges.

If you will mail me on i.ginn@hva.nl and I can send you some slides on how the transmedia program in Amsterdam, and an associated minor, is structured.

Best regards,

Ian
