Let me use different terminology and hope it helps..
Well the messaging needs to be aware of the multiple "degrees of freedom" and morp or cater to each of them:

WHAT is the right message?
- Context & Relevance (Stage of the target - Awareness, Interest, Desire, Action)
- right choice of messaging for the medium (eg. sms or mms or bluetooth for a mobile)

WHO am i addressing/targeting?
- Demographic profile (language, culture, age, gender, ethnicity etc.)
- Personalization if relevant and possible

HOW is the message being experienced/consumed?
- The content to match the experience expected by the medium (mobile, tv, ooh, web etc.) aka lean forward/back, attention span etc..
- Network, hardware rendering capability awareness

Hi Maureen,
Here's what I meant by that comment: If you took the example of advertising, what content/messaging you create and the choice of platform for creative awareness, interest, decision and finally action would not be the same. A few platforms are good for ATL and a few a good for BTL. Each of the platforms have users who are expectations of a certain style of experience - lean back or lean forward, highly interactive or no interactivity etc Based on this the creative will vary based on of its is Analog TV, or IPTV, Mobile - SMS, Bluetooth or Mobile TV, OOH - Billboards, digital signage or kiosks etc. They all need to be consistent and build on each other to achieve the end result that a brand manager sets.

Innovation is the life blood of any organization. The world is changing so fast, without a steady stream of ideas, products and services it is difficult to stay competative.

I do not like the green label. It is too often associated with non-pragmatists, bad science and poor policy. I prefer the term sustainable.

Sustainable practices give us the chance to leave the world to our children with the same or better resources that we were given. Sustainable design requires whole life cycle considerations, including the total cost of waste and cleanup.

Our use of non-renewable and 'dirty' energy is not sustainable. And besides, many sustainable practices end up saving waste and energy, which most often costs less!

True sustainable practices require a whole life cycle design methodology. With sustaiable practices, we can leave our world to our children as we found it or better. And many choice to have less impact also uses less energy and produces less waste. Most of the time this means less money!

Hi Maureen,

I am a journalist and manage a team of 30 odd people, which includes reporters as well as producers, cameramen, video editors and studio personnel. I have some experience setting up television news channels, and am currently exploring the possibility of setting up a channel for one of India's largest media houses. We already started shooting video content that we're adding to their existing website. You can check some of this work out at www.livemint.com

What kind of work do you do?

cheers,
